D#6 HW# 11 Writing Project Reflection

My biggest step for this writing project was to collect my thoughts and put them into some sort of order that would make sense to my readers. My proposal was based on what I already know about this topic. I don’t think I would change my writing process for this type of project but I would definitely try to expand on the information I know and give more examples that relate to this subject. I know that there will be more steps in the next project as it is different than a research proposal. The thing that I’m most proud of for this project is that I wrote it based on my own knowledge. It did make it seem a little bit easier because once I start typing it’s hard to stop so it was just a matter of rearranging my thoughts and either adding or deleting some information that didn’t seem pertinent to the issues I was presenting. I do wish I could’ve had some more feedback but I’m ok with what I’ve come up with. I know that I can only improve and to get my work turned in on time will greatly help me too! As for my report on Turnitin.com there wasn’t any. The similarity was 0% so I’m not sure if I was supposed to go elsewhere on the site to find anything. In terms of learning about writing, I specifically work on transitioning my paragraphs to make sure that they “flow” as I would like them to. I’m always going to be working on that aspect of my writing as well as coming up with more sophisticated words. (Being a mom it seems I’ve lost my big girl vocabulary along the way!) I feel that I’m achieving the course outcomes throughout every single assignment and I’m glad to say that I’m understanding everything. It all makes sense to me so that is making it a lot less complicated for me to get through these deadlines. I’m also hoping that for the next project I will continue to click with this research process and be able to prepare a good bibliography. For this current project it didn’t take me too long to finish it so that made me feel good and that was evidence enough for me to realize that I was definitely making progress. In the past it would take me days to finalize a paper due to second guessing and just plain not knowing what I was doing! So hopefully this understanding between me and research will continue. Everything that I have stated here will rollover into the next project and I am constantly working on every aspect of my writing.
