D#1 HW#12 - Compare & Contrast

I know that I will be able to pick up any reading material and feel that I could complete a research project for any given topic. With the help of this class I hope to become more interested in the process of researching. I also hope that I will be able to easily accomplish the tasks of preparing a proposal, bibliography, and a final argumentative paper. I just have to keep in mind that it is a process and to handle the task at hand and not think ahead! I hope that I will have a great portfolio at the end of this course and that it will be easy to write .. hopefully!

D#1 HW#10 - Weekly Calendar

I believe that I will have plenty of time to complete my course work during this semester. I am a single mommy but my children are older and they definitely understand that I am going to school so we can have an easier life. They help out with household chores and they have learned how to cook and clean; they are responsible children and I am grateful that they are able to help out in every way that they can! This activity was good for me because it allowed me to really see what time I have leftover after classes and work. I will definitely be hanging this up on my refrigerator! :)

D#1 HW#9 - Introduction

Hello, my name is Denise! I'm in my 2nd year here at MCC on my way to a Psychology degree and hopefully to ASU next fall. I'm taking this class as a part of my transfer requirements and although I love to write papers, I really don't like writing research papers unless it's for my own enjoyment! *haha*


I'm a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and am originally from a small reservation located about 30 miles south of Buffalo. (think freezing winters brrrrr) I have lived here in the valley of the HOT sun since May 2005 and I love it down here! I'm a licensed Nail Specialist in NY and AZ and I'm currently working at 2 salons AND out of my home. *whew* I am the mother of 3 beautiful daughters who are 14, 11, and 9. Where does the time go?! They are growing up way too fast for me! *another whew*
